Professor Charles Andrew Ivey French is a senior member of the Department of Archaeology, a Professor of Geoarchaeology and Director of the McBurney Laboratory of Geoarchaeology at the University of Cambridge. He is conducting research on the application of geoarchaeological and micromorphological analytical techniques to the interpretation of buried landscapes, the processes responsible for the degradation of landscapes, and on the interpretation of the use of domestic space on settlement sites. Prof. French is currently involved with a number of research projects around the world (Britain, Bosnia, Serbia, Sardinia, Malta, Peru, India, Kenya, Ethiopia).
He is actively involved in BONDS by supervising Lab processes and consulting in geoarchaeological applications, analyses and interpretations.
