In May 2022, Dr. Evita Kalogiropoulou (PI) visited the Charles McBurney Laboratory for Geoarchaeology, at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research at the University of Cambridge, where she transferred the assemblage of processed geoarchaeological slabs for thin section preparation. During her stay at the McBurney Laboratory Evita worked closely with the experienced technician Dr. Tonko Rajkavoca. Τhe assemblage was completed, and thin sections were carried back in Greece and analysed under polarised microscope at the Malcom H. Wiener Laboratory for Archaeological Research at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. During her stay in Cambridge, Evita had meetings with the Advisor of the BONDS project and Professor of Geoarchaeology Charles French to discuss research progress, future plans, publication developments and preparation of the Workshop.
