The Principal Investigator of the BONDS research project Dr. Evita Kalogiropoulou (PI) participated with an oral presentation at the annual EAA 2023 Conference that was held in Belfast from the 30th of August to the 2nd of September 2023. The paper was delivered at the session #230, ‘What makes a settlement? Comparative perspectives on settlement structures and patterns from Neolithic to Iron Age’. The title of this oral presentation is ‘Looking outdoors and beyond: social practices, settlement spaces and community structures in the Greek Neolithic’. The paper culminated synthesis results from organic residue analysis, geoarchaeological and micromorphology at selected combustion features at the Late Neolithic site Kleitos 1, projected in the broader regional patterns of outdoor domestic and craftmanship practices in north-western Greece. Research presented in both papers was accomplished in the context of the BONDS project.
